The South African Garlic Growers Association as a producer’s organization was founded in 1991.
The organization represents the majority of garlic growers in SA and its members are scattered all over South Africa. Learn more about our mission, research, and how we help growers improve their yield and market reach.
Garlic Cultivation
The South African Garlic Growers Association supports local farmers by promoting quality cultivation and industry knowledge. Garlic, mainly Softneck in South Africa, is grown through vegetative propagation and thrives as a cool-season crop.
